Teams are invited to participate in the 12th annual tree planting competition for the Greater Houston Region. Teams can have 11 persons per team (1 captain, 10 planters) and must bring their own shovels. Each team (3 per organization max.) will plant 100 trees properly while being timed and judged. The event is $50 per team. Lunch and a t-shirt is included for all participants.

Participants will have a chance to visit the Alton Shelvin exhibit currently featured in the Bert Long, Jr. Gallery. Learn about the Buffalo Soldiers, the historical African American military and their service throughout history.
Lunch will be at Luby’s Cafeteria after the HMAAC tour. Please bring any form of payment for your lunch.
This trip will include a moderate amount of walking and stairs.
