The City of Missouri City posts legal and public notices as required to State Law. The City posts notices on the City’s website (see below) and the City’s official newspaper, the Fort Bend Independent newspaper. Notices may also be published in the Fort Bend Herald or Houston Chronicle.

Bid Opportunities The City of Missouri City utilizes both the State of Texas Electronic State Business Daily (ESBD) and Onvia/Demandstar, to provide ESBD and/or Demandstar bidders with automatic notification and transmittal of bid solicitations. In addition, ESBD provides access to bid opportunities with other State of Texas university and governmental entities, at no charge.

To consider an ordinance to authorize the issuance of the City's certificates of obligation, payable from ad valorem taxation and a limited (in an amount not to exceed $10,000) subordinate pledge of certain revenues of the waterworks and sewer system of the City, in the maximum aggregate principal amount of $13,000,000 bearing interest at any rate or rates, not to exceed the maximum interest rate now or hereafter authorized by law, as shall be determined within the discretion of the City Council at the time of issuance and maturing over a period of years not to exceed forty (40) years from the date thereof, for the purpose of evidencing the indebtedness of the City to pay all or any part of the contractual obligations to be incurred for the purpose of (1) the construction of public works, more specifically, the construction of utility infrastructure, mobility projects, and build-out of a fire station, and any items related thereto, (2) the purchase of a fire truck, and any items related thereto, and (3) paying for professional services incurred in connection with items (1) and (2).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT, pursuant to Section 43.130(a) of the Texas Local Government Code and the strategic partnership agreements approved by the City of Missouri City (the “City”) and each respective district, qualified voters of Sienna Municipal Utility District Nos. 1, 5, 6, and 7, which were annexed by the City for the limited purpose of providing fire protection on or about Monday, November 2, 2020, may vote in the December 12, 2020 special City election, and in subsequent municipal elections regarding the election or recall of members of the City Council and the amendment of the City Charter.
