Personal HistoryReginald Pearson has been a resident of Missouri City for more than 25 years. He started out as a homeowner in the Quail Valley Subdivision where he and his wife raised 3 daughters who attended Lantern Lane Elementary, Quail Valley Middle School and Elkins High School. He was a very active parent in all of those schools. He remembers when Cartwright Road was a 2 lane shell road. He has seen the growth of the city since the early 1990’s. He attended Texas Southern University majoring in Political Science and has always had a passion for Community Involvement. While there pursuing his degree, he got involved with the Political Science Organization on campus where he served as President for some time while working on his degree.
Pearson is married to his lovely wife, Kimberly, and they are members of the Fountain of Praise Church where he has been a member for the past 21 years and serves as a Deacon. He has worked as a Specialty Food Buyer for the past 31 years, which has allowed him to travel both domestically and internationally. On his travels he has seen how other cities that were considered bedroom communities, balanced that designation with economic development and growth.
He is driven and has the willingness to find with his colleagues common ideals that fit within the City’s mission and objectives. While serving on the Planning and Zoning (P&Z) Commission it gave him great insight into the decision-making process necessary to be a Council Member. He is an instrumental contributor to the city and a willing participant for City Government greater good. He has the willingness to be a voice for the citizens of Missouri City while working with all departments of the City to ensure we address all areas of need and continued growth.
Reginald was appointed by City Council to fill the vacant District A seat and sworn into office on November 19, 2018 as a City Councilmember.
